Great place to find new appliances and expensive kitchen gadgets you didn't know you needed. I'm in love with their USA pans they sell there, and actually the prices I've found online for those items are about the same. When my husband and I built our new house in Wasilla, we got a brand new kitchen set from A&P. We love it and the sales representative was very helpful in guiding us to the right appliances for us. I like their wide variety of gadgets and appliances but I feel like most of it is very expensive even for Alaska. Many of the items I can find online for cheaper. We have purchased over $10,000 worth of top of the line appliances from Allen and Petersen. Unfortunately, we have either repaired each appliance numerous times or replaced. Our most recent is our Viking stove listed below that has taken over 2 months to get parts in. I find it odd that Viking states it only takes 7-10 business days to receive parts. Also, the managers of the parts department will just say sorry its taking so long without ever trying to make it right with some sort of parts discount or reimbursement of sorts. Its as if no one cares after you purchase their products. I find it extremely coincidental that all our Home Depot appliances are humming along after years of service but AP appliances don't seem to last past the 1 year warranty or break shortly thereafter. Electrolux Icon Refrigerator - Repairs motherboard, ice maker broke twice ate $464 a pop and just use ice trays now after the 3rd Time. Electrolux compactor - stopped compacting after 18 months now we just use as garbage can Electrolux Microwave - Magnetron broke replaced with Maytag model from Home Depot. Pay and Paykel dual dish drawer - Repaired both pumps in both drawers GE Wash machine - Replaced motherboard Viking - Knob fell off within 2 months and had to wait over 2 months for 3 parts to come in. Very suspicious since Viking's website states 7-10 business days before parts delivery on most parts. Overpriced consumerism. I go for the Monin Syrups! Lots of kitchen utensils, dishes etc. Very nice place I purchased the GE cafe series fridge CYE22TSHBSS from allen and peterson in the fall of 2014. This spring, 2016, the fridge kept on shutting down and spoiling my food. A little hesitant and going against my gut I decided to call one of Allen and Petersen's technicians. He was able to look at the fridge a week later and came to the conclusion that the board needed to be replaced. I found this ironic because on the bottom of bulletin REF05-15 it clearly says in red if you are getting the corresponding error codes *** DO NOT REPLACE THE MAIN BOARD*** . But he is the technician and I am the client. I waited a month for my new board to come in and get installed. Five minutes after being installed I still received the same errors. Clearly the technician does not know how to diagnose problems. Calling Allen and Peterson was not worth $500 because they didn't fix anything.
