The fault is not with this branch, they are very helpful and friendly. It is that whenever you need to make adds/moves/changes/pay bills. you get redirected 100 times and it takes an eternity to get something simple done like pay a bill over the phone. They use Foremost and Stillwater for atv/ homeowner insurance and this greatly complicates thing. At no other business have I had such issues with trying to pay a bill, again the people who work here are great. Just stay away from Gieco if you treasure you sanity Great staff. However, we need more locations in this state Had a total loss on a vehicle and although there were several times when I thought communication could have been better, in the end they handled everything professionally and we got a reasonable settlement on our vehicle. Although Geico is a larger company, I spoke to multiple people and I have to say I am truly disappointed with the lack of service and attention to detail. I had called for a policy in Texas, since I'm unsure if I will be moving back there shortly. They accidentally put my policy in Alaska, which I understand is a perfect understandable mistake, however after having a phone call to make sure it is correct I receive a phone call stating they had changed nothing and that it was still in Alaska. Since my license was about to be reinstated I need my SR-22 sent to Texas ASAP. After getting that fixed (my license reinstated after that week), I was told that I needed proof that my license was reinstated for the policy to continue. After sending in multiple documents and calling the DMV about 5 times. (It takes about 40 minutes of waiting before they answer each time) None of my documents were accepted by GEICO. In addition, the DMV said there was no other documentation that could show my license was valid. The documentation I did send in would not suffice GEICO's requirements because the verbiage that Texas DMV's use to show a license is valid is "eligible". They thought the word was too ambiguous. After taking matters into my own hands I decided to have a two way call with GEICO and the DMV because I didn't know what else to do. I just gave up after I called GEICO and they forwarded me to an Alaska representative who thought I was living in Arkansas........ Well I know mistakes happen, it is just really frustrating. Usually every time I would call the first thing I would do is tell the person to look at my profile but it seemed there was no information because every time I called I had to reexplain myself. GEICO I'm sure you're awesome I've heard great things, but this is unacceptable. Damned disappointed they pretty much closed the office in Fairbanks, AK. I wish Geico would put a payment center out West where the weather isn't as crappy as MD. Started sending my payments to Wasilla instead of worrying about weather delays for mail out of the state.
