It's a great place to stop and visit. There is a dog team to see and learn about and go for a ride if you desire. Good movie to watch and learn about the Iditarod sled race. Very nice gift shop. . Seemed like a nice place but we couldn't watch the movie or see the museum because they were having a bit as meeting in there so it was closed to the public. The ride was a little pricey at $10 per person for a out a 30 second ride The place is free and has some great info. During the summer they usually have sled dog pups you can hold!!! It is great for a quick stop in. The museum is largely limited to a "trophy room" with photos, trophies, and memorabilia. There is a shop offering clothing and related items. Outside, there may be a demonstration of sled dogs pulling a wheeled cart and you can take a short circular ride for a fee. I've followed the Iditarod for years. Attended 2 of them and will be going back for the 2018 race. We enjoyed our visit here. Yes, it is more of a gift shop than a museum, but there are some interesting artifacts inside. Staff was very friendly. We got to hold a 3 week old pup. Cart ride was fun. Overall, it was a trip worth making.
