Wasilla lake is a great place to hang out, watch the little kids have fun on the play ground, and meet new people. We were there meeting up with family on fathers day, while there we were invited to a little girls birthday party. The kids ran and played for hours and it was a great place to spend the day, which was only supposed to be an hour or two. Fun place place for the kids. Several pokestops and rare spawn locations. Only draw back is the lake has leeches that swim right at the shore. Great local place for a swim and tan, located in a middle of town. Has Pizza hut restaurant within 3 min walk I think that everybody who lives in Wasilla or Palmer at some point spends a pleasant afternoon at Wasilla Lake. It's a wonderful hub for recreation in the valley. It's part of a canoe system in the valley, and there's a wonderful beach that is home to everybody on hot summer days. In the winter there is lots of skating and cross-country skiing. Take my grandkids here beauitful park
