Although they have minimum staff, they have always been friendly, personable and attentive before, during and after our meals. They take the time to make small chat while taking orders in a lighthearted, small town manner. The establishment appears clean, well-managed and inviting. The owner is quite nice and down to earth. In the several times I've dined there, the food has always met or exceeded our expectations...fresh, well prepared, with appealing menu options. There's indoor seating, but I prefer the outdoor dining area on sunny days. If you go on a sunny day too, take advantage of it. It's relaxing to take in the open sky, sun and refreshing air while eating healthy, delicious fare. To add to the charm, there are strawberry beds next to the tables at table level and outdoor umbrellas over each table, giving it a city cafe feel in a suburban setting. The prices are moderate, but if you want fresh, high quality, (including gluten-free options), the saying, "You get what you pay for" holds true. All in all, it's always a dining pleasure and I will continue going there. I do wish they were open for longer hours, as we'd probably eat there more often in the evenings, but I understand that this is a privately owned business. Just glad they're there! Pictures next time!... :) I never tire of the menu and the service is amazing. The interior decorating is outstanding. It is a little spend, but worth it. On a sunny late spring or early summer day you need to come in just so you can sit outside. Sally prefers to get her food local when she can, and she has local artist's work on her walls, as well as yarn items made locally. I'm really happy for the sense of community The Bistro Red Beet creates. Very disappointed with Bistro Red Beet each time I have been there. I tired very hard to like this place, but the owner was rude every single time (along with other issues). After 4 bad visits at the storefront and then two at the State Fair I can't see myself going back again. The food was good everything was as advertised. Only four stars because the service was slow because everything's fresh. Not a place for a one-hour lunch break but it's worth stopping if you have the time If you want to go broke and starve at the same time go to red beet daily. Weird food and weirder prices.
