Such helpful staff, and great variety. The points system is so helpful, as I run a cat rescue. I get my grain free cat food here, and always great service. Constantly running out of mice and miscounting crickets...however employees quickly correct and always make the situation better. *update* extremely helpful staff, since petco does not have a buy online pick up in store option, and living 100 miles away makes it difficult to get to stores during operating hours, the staff gathered the items I needed and had them ready at the registrar for me to be able to pay and go. Good place to go and the selection is great but they definitely don't cater to the large breed dog I had to buy online for my boy he's an Alaska Malamute but the cat selection is good but it is a spendy place The Wasilla, AK PETCO store is not kid or customer friendly. When my grand daughter asked for help in the fish department while I was there keeping an eye on the fish she wanted, the PETCO associate told her that she needed to be an adult to be helped and walked away. She wouldn't even stick around to hear her state, "my grandpa is right there." I saw the whole thing and couldn't believe what I was seeing. What kind of BS excuse is that to get out of helping customers??? Unacceptable for a company with "Happier People" in their slogan. When I addressed it to the manager on duty, I still didn't get any assistance. So, are we supposed to stand there all day and be ignored? So, we took our business to Pet Zoo and will never shop at PETCO again. So others can be warned, please post a sign on the front door stating "Children not welcome, you must be an adult to shop here, and you can expect to not be helped once you enter." Also, remove the "Happier People" out of your slogan, because you didn't make us happy standing there waiting for 20 minutes with no assistance and when we asked for it, you rudely walked away. No wonder major retailers are going out of business; hiring lazy people...if you want to a bad customer service experience, go to the Wasilla PETCO... I always have a good shopping time at Petco. The staff are great.
