There are things you can't predict such as the weather or how many fish are in the river. But the things you can control, who you use on the river makes a world of difference. Ben's boat is very comfortable and stable. He uses top notch gear. He even had some rods he custom built for us to use. We had a wonderful day on the river with Ben. Out of four anglers on Ben's boat we caught two kings and one jack. Everyone had their chances but not all connected. Ben worked hard to put us in the right spot using a variety of gear and different holes on the river. Will definitely use him again in the future. I had a great trip with Ben for King salmon. I was nervous bringing my mother and little sister because they don't fish, but Ben was extremely nice, helpful, and patient, showing them everything they needed to know. He was upbeat, courteous, and had a great positive attitude all day on the water. I've done several different guide services in the past, but in the future will fish with Millers Riverboat service. I went fishing with Ben this week on my vacation and he was awesome! He took us to several spots and set us up for the best chances of catching kings. He's a great guide! I would preface this review by saying I have the perspective of someone who has fished this area for 18 years. I have run boats on these rivers and can tell when someone knows what they are doing. Ben Allen at Miller's Riverboat Service knows what he is doing. To start the day off we had a full boat and the water was low in the river but Ben navigated the river beautifully and the trip to the Deshka was smooth. We saw wildlife including 2 seperate moose crossings and a few eagles. We arrived up river and instantly we were on the fish, ill admit I even learned a few tricks I didn't already know. Everyone in the boat caught fish. He had all the appropriate equipment and skill required to do his job well. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking to have a fantastic fishing experience.
