They don't like natives I traveled to Alaska with my three daughters, aged 23, 16 & 15. We did everything – bush plane glacier tour, segways in Anchorage, boat through Resurrection Bay, train to Seward. Want to know the best part of the trip? 4 wheeling with Marty. We booked a tour a couple weeks back. The process was seamless; a couple email exchanges and a credit card for a deposit. Marty is awesome; the right blend of competence, knowledge, safety and fun. We went through mud, small streams, up & down hills and through valleys. We ate lunch at a stream where we picked fossils. On one stretch of trail we saw an old man coming from the other direction. Marty crossed the stream to greet him. It turns out the man is Marty’s former teacher and Sarah Palin’s dad, Chuck Heath. We visited with him for a bit, snapped a few photos and continued. Overall we saw a red fox, some moose, a lone caribou, some ground squirrels and a sleeping porcupine. It was an awesome trail ride and I can assure you it would have not been the same without Marty.
